Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with the Bespoke (Custom Rolled) offered by those folks who were part of the recent Chicago Massacre.

They look interesting but I have not smoked one yet. Opinions please.

^ Let me know if you want to try a couple. Have been waiting for them to settle down before sparking one up.

I will be burning one this weekend for sure. Very dark wrappers for a claimed 100% long filler, hand made Cuban. They smell great!

Laguito #5 size 5 3/5 x 54

Wrapper: Shade grown, maduro

Filler: Long filler, grown w/ sun exposure

Binder: Shade grown

Closed foot with a double seam and flag cap and shiney dark wrapper with small veins

White ash, laser straight burn holds to 2" or more

Very well made with a heavy firm feel to it

Large volume or fragrant blue smoke for the about 1 hour of smoking time

Very balanced with a good amount of Ligero in the Seco and Volado blend

Enough stuffing to leave a mild buzz, med-strong

Could be outstanding with some age but already tasting good - no notes of ammonia for what is probably a very young smoke (no box date)

Not a typical Cuban "twang" taste - not very similar to the Cohiba maduros

Overall very good reminding me somewhat of a Cabaiguan Guapo maduro

Worth the $11-$12 ??

What? Am I the only one here who has smoked this cigar?

Where are all the Cuban Ho's?

DED, I've looked at these and have wondered, and I think it's basically because these aren't a well known marca that you're not seeing much in the way of info. Most would rather spend the money on a known good cigar than risk it on an expensive no-name. That being said, they do sound interesting.

Yup. Probably true but to me trying something new is part of the enjoyment as well. Without a will to try a custom rolled Tobada we would have missed one of the top 5 cigars I have ever enjoyed. (thanks to X for that one)

As they say; Variety is the spice of life ......... 'cept when it comes to wives in which case it can get you shot.
