Doh! These are zipper pulls. Base is a fishing spinner with a swivel hook as the hardware.

I've made some updates to the original. Pablo gifted me a huge back of bands that have contributed heavily.
Tank laughs when I hit the sporting goods department now.

I think that's great, very clever use of the bands. I've done a few ashtrays using them to cover the bottom board which becomes the ashing bowl under a pc. of glass. If you run low on bands let me know and I'll see what I've got @ the time.

You'd have to ask Pablo - all of these bands came out of what he sent me. Of course, since Tank is a Gurkha fan, I'm quite used to seeing those.

I realize that jewelry is not something the guys might be interested in (not that there would be anything wrong with that if they were) so my decision was to make them into zipper pulls for duffles, jackets, or whatever.

I'm not sure how long they'd hold up. There is a sealer on it, but I'd still avoid submerging them for any length of time.
