I've since covered in a clear epoxy, I gotta get some better pics. Everyone asks how many bands it took, and I honestly have no idea. Because I need to overlap so many to fill in the gaps, it's exponentially more than the surface area of the table (I'm sure TG could figure out a formula for that) . . .

That's cool. One day my man cave will have a couple pieces similar to this.

I did something similar except mine were old style bands - mainly gold, red, black, and white... I did a small end table.

I'm thinking of doing a bar top, using the older bands as the back drop for the new bands. The really cool part of mine was with all of the gold, the reflection of light was fantastic.

I'd post a photo, but this table was in our basement... the basement swimming pool that is. (two floods in 2 years)
It needs to be refurbished.

oh, and your's turned out really nice. Makes me itch to get going on that bar top again.

Nice. Was also thinking of doing a bar top with etched glass. Ya know you could always turn this into a contest 😉

IWe have a 3' x 4' frame on the wall. of our smoke room..my cousin wife said it took 1023. bands to cover it.....so 85.25 bands per sq. ft. how big is the table

#13 - Elmers glue, it dries clear . . . .

That is awesome I too have been saving my puro Indigos and gurkha bands hahaha busa. really tho I have a nice collection of all my bands and I will use anything I have smoked and I have tried a lot of smokes. some good and some bad but to me that is a experience table and totally respect that I am thinking some form of a bar and use the bands for the cover maybe the sides and top not sure yet thanks for the inspiration.
