My 1st pic post...hope it works. I wanted to make this a poll, I guess you don't get that option here.
Here is the deal. These 2 Gurkha's is what I was sent instead of a butane lighter. The whole deal was to credit me for the trouble and damage to a humidor I purchased, instead of returning it. The C.S. lady told me they would send a lighter (approx. $8 on their site) it's not the money/amount, it's the point of honesty, 🤥 plus I haven't smoked in a few years and had only smoked a couple of mild cigars before surgery. Now I can't sample yet and have been reading up and trying to slowly acquire some goods/accessories. Most of what I have seen here and on other sites leads me to believe they may be a poor replacement for the lighter, or may possibly blow up my humidor. Thanks

If its really only an $8 lighter you are probably making out well here. Other than ronson lighters, most lighters under $10 are really crappy. They aren't worth the hassle. Now I am not a Gurkha fan but a lot of people are and if you get enjoyment out of those cigars then that would be a win in my book.

They don't blow up in the humidor... they wait til you light them.

What I was thinking, mainly because they lied. One of my pet peeves. Otherwise just from browsing they (Gurkha's) do tend to have problems. The company in question (no name for now) as well, now that I have been checking. Cheap lesson.

I'd have to agree, I'd still raise hell due to the principle, but that Tubo is pretty decent. Worse case, trade or gift them. Cheap lesson learned for a companies integrity though. I had an issue with my humidor I ordered last month, they lied and tried to cover it up. I got what I paid for, but not sure I trust or will order from them again

That's the other thing......how do you tell what it is (name)...bands look the same, sure I am a noob, but most are different for different lines? The main reason I had to learn how to post a picture (what a job).
I knew someone would actually recognize one they liked. Not saying they are definitely bad, just most of what I have seen here and on other forums mentions inconsistency, wrappers coming off, etc.
We will work something out, I already had you picked out to do some trading with, need to send you a liitle "white trash"hehe

Congrats on you 1st pic post. Glad it worked-out for you.

As for the 2 cigars vs the lighter... I'd call it a wash and move on. IME with lighters, the 2 cigars will probably last longer. About the damaged humidor, how bad is the damage. Is the interior still sound and does it seal? Can you still use it?

Thanks,
Hey, I am fond of some infused cigars, every now and then, well years ago when I smoked more. Makes sense in the tube, I guess.

Hey, thanks brother for the help, turned out ok, slowly weaning off some meds, a month ago would've never pulled it off.🌫
As for the humidor... mostly all aesthetic, actually works great!

The more I research this company, I think I got out pretty good.... now CS goes to v-mail, 2-days running, old BBB filings speak of the same type of problems!

I think the other may be a master select. Not sure though. As far as what you read about a cigar, I usually never listen to opinions. Smoke them. If you like them great. If you don't then no biggie they were free. Everyone likes what they like.

As far as customer service goes, I have seen it first hand and they have a hard enough job making everyone happy. Even still, they should have notified you that they were going to send the cigars rather than the lighter. That wasn't the best practice.
