I've tried a few Miamis and love them, are there any others worth trying?

1932's full flavor great stick in every vitola

68's medium good straight tobacco taste (lancero is best)

48's same as 68 but a bit creamier. I like the robusto best.

Artemis if gotten at a decent price is o.k. starts like a great medium but last third is a turd.

Thanks ZRX, I was wondering if the 9 stick Padilla sampler on FF was worth a shot. 3 Miamis, 3 1932s, 3 Dominus.

Dominus is overrated (as many padillas) at retail.

Here if had 2-3$ per stick they are a good buy.

Cazadaores I like better it has a nice creamy texture.

Just picked up that sampler for 27.7 on FF. so next week I'm getting that Padilla sampler(dominus, miami, and 1932) along with a 5 pack of EP Carillo Elencos I got for 25.7 or so on FF. How did this noob do? is he getting good stuff to try out? The only cigar I've had out of these is the Miami which I really enjoyed.

I love Padilla! Here's my order of preference (current releases) atm:

1932 -- awesome stick, especially at cbid prices

Dominus -- also awesome, stronger than the '32, great at cbid prices

Maimi -- Great "standard Nicaraguan" cigar. Reminds me a lot of Viaje

1948 -- medium-bodied, very nice and creamy with age

1968 -- good cheap stick, lots of flavor, better with age

Cazadores -- pretty tasty for a cheapie, much better with age

Of course, if you can find the old Maimi 8&11s, those are amazing! As are the 1932 Oscuro Salamons that they sold here a couple years back--those are REALLY good.

I haven't gotten any of the new "Made in Maimi" Padillas yet, tough.

Have to agree with NJStone on the '32s (I have only had the new blend) and the '68s are great ROTT, picked up a box 2 weeks ago but I will let some get some age on them and compare.

I wholeheartedly agree... The Oscuro Salamons were a great pick-up on CBid. I had always been reluctant to try Padilla, but those sold me on the brand.

Achilles...did they have the white/red band on them, or were they unbanded? Didn't these also have fragile wrappers? Maybe I'm confusing them with another cigar. I have 3 or 4 left of a particular cigar from maybe 5 years ago, unbanded, and with fragile looking wrappers (in some cases cracked). Perhaps I have two cigars I'm thinking about because the white w/ red band is coming to mind...uugh. I think I have, or had, some of those laying around to. I may have smoked the last one several months ago.
