In my little town there is a gas station... In the gas station, there's a good size humidor sitting off to the side in a corner... Probably less than 100 people buy cigars here on anything more than a yearly basis, so the stuff gets old...

Inside, there are some Punch cigars, many of which sport some fairly yellow cello... I'm in California, so taxes are high, plus it is a B&M, so also kinda expensive...

He has the following:

Royal Coronation (steel tube)

Gran Puro

Rare Corojo

Rothschild

Assuming I like these cigars a decent amount, what would be considered a good price? I wasn't sure if posting the prices here would be a violation of a cbid forum rule... If it's not, I can edit and put the prices in...

I was actually surprised at how low his prices were, but again, that's low for California, not low for the rest of the sensible tobacco-selling world...

I'm not a punch user. Sounds like the gas station is a place to avoid buying cigars. Are you out of sticks?

My wife rang out a wet hand towel and put it in the microwave to warm it up. They clean things very well when warm and wet. Somehow it got set on a full cycle and the thing burned and this was the result. Our own shroud of Turin. It was out pirate flag for a while, but it had to die. I took a pic and we ceremonially destroyed it and buried it in the backyard. It lives on in megapixels. From this view it looks like a skull/alien thing to me. upside down it looks like a guy in a white robe in the middle.

So, my closest cigar shop worth going to is about a 45 minute drive... It doesn't matter as I buy almost all of my cigars here, but it's nice to have a place to walk in to every once and a while, look around and pick something up you've never had...

I've heard some people speak highly of Punch cigars... I've only had one, and it wasn't my favorite, but I only know what I like... I was hoping I had stumbled on something that - with some obvious age on it - would be well worth the $6-$7 he's asking... Based on the lack of comments on this thread, I'm thinking I did not make any such stumble...

There all good cigars. It's a matter of preference. I enjoy smoking all Punch cigars especially maduros or double maduros. Lately I've been smoking the Punch Gran Puro's excellent cigar. It's really up to you. If you're having a hard time picking one then go with your gut feeling. Like I mentioned before it's a matter of preference and they are very well made very good medium body cigars. Enjoy!

ooh, ya... Hanford is definitely much bigger and probably a lot more crappy than Kingsburg... 49k people compared to 10k... It's small enough here that they've managed to keep most of the riff-raff out... But I got in somehow, and as of yet no one has noticed... or at least hasn't asked me to leave...
