Eying both the Padilla Achilles and thd Arganese Connecticut. Both are dirt cheap. Any Nay's or Yea's on these two?

Thanks!

The Padilla are good for the course along with many, many others. I have never smoked the Arganese.

Padilla is good. Arganese is .....meh......... very one dimensional dog rocket. JMO.....YMMV.

Why not smoke a good quality cigar when golfing? You can't enjoy good quality while swinging a club? (never understood this) 🤦

Hell, I will smoke an opus while sitting on the lawn mower.

Don't know about those two but I do like the Vegas A apostle and the Don Lino Africa the Churchill for the course.

I agree....what better place to smoke a great cigar than on the golf course......

but I do carry the Padilla 68 Golden Bear or LGC Series R #7 whenever I go to the course to hand out to those who forgot theirs... or when I am stuck behind a slow 4some and need a 3rd or 4th cigar....

Well, I like to reserve a good mellow smooth cigar for the course. I like the Ghrka Park Avenue Torps and the Dreww Estates Copper Label (I'm sure most don't like these), so there!

Totally agree, I'll throw a nice cigar down on the tee box or green, not really throw but place nicely lol. I take a good variety when I play.

For early tee times I like the GH SLS (Triple, 3 Siglos, or whatever its being called this week) in a church or torp.

Little later in the day, I will often have a PDR Sun Grown church or RP Edge Corojo toro or torp.

Skipper,

Just out of curiosity, what would have been the first two you have on the course?

I've had some of the Park Avenue. Good smoke.

I think some think they need a "lower end" stogie in case they step on it, run it over with a cart or some other mishap. They are not that hard to keep track of until at least the 5th or 6th beer!

I like the Perdomo "Golf" cigars. Makes perfect sense, right? Well, so far I like almost all Perdomo cigars...

Confusious say: Smoke what you like, like what you smoke. Love the one you're with. Smoke em if ya gott em

A real golfer only get his cigars from the Mann Center.

Ask for Heather!

Golf Course is the same as anyplace else for me ... when smoking is on the horizon, I tend to keep about 10 different cigars in the travelador so that I can choose. If I'm supplying for friends, I'll bring some doubles in case they want the good ones, too!

I haven't golfed yet this year, but I have some WOA, Oliva Serie 'G', Ave Maria and Man O' War cigars all ready to go once the rain clears!

Morning tee time... front nine: Partagas Lusitania or R+J Churchill, illusione 4/2g or LP T52 DC

Back nine: Another T52 DC or Tat Gran Cojonu/reserva SW

Afternoon tee time: Bolivar DC, Monte #1 or LP9 Corona Doble.

Same on the back 9 or an Opus X DC.

Actually, no I can't enjoy a good cigar on the course. Too much going on and I prefer to smoke my best ones at home or with a friend while drinking a great scotch and/or beer.

On the course: Perdomo, Ghurka, CAO, Arganese maddy etc. as I don't worry about the complexities of the cigar but rather where the hell the ball is going next .....=;

Key things to look for in a good golf, fishing, yard type gar:

Relights well and holds flavor through relights

Can stay lit while sitting for periods of time

Durable wrapper in case of being dropped, wind blown, sat down, and bounced around

Not bad price since can be forgotten, roll into dew covered grass, run over, etc........

Any cigar out on the course with my buddy C3S is an enjoyed cigar!

Why don't ya bastids stop jawing about what you smoke and enter my MASTERS CONTEST. That way you can smoke free cigars next time you tee it up.
