I know this cigar isn't in everyone's wheel house (none are) but the EPC Dark Ritual is an absolute home run for me. I just got a box from a great BOTL on this forum and am smoking it for the third time. Each time the cigar is spot on in flavors. It has been described as a big chocolate bar and I couldn't agree more. I have read many posts and blogs debating the use of the word "creamy" for a cigar if it is possible to be creamy, this cigar is it. It is mild but in the most glorious way by not sacrificing flavor. It is one cigar that continually reminds me of how great cigars CAN be. So glad I have nine more!

Wow, thanks for the review. I've been looking at getting some of these, but now I think I might have to pull the trigger!

I stopped by my local B&M recently and the EPC DR was recommended. I have to say, I was very impressed; enough so I invested in a box. Great flavor, great construction, even burn... I smoked it until my fingers burned!

I'd love to try one but the MEGASIZED viola is just more than I care to purchase.Had Ernesto made them in 50 rg or smaller I'd be all over them.

Smoking a Short Run Corona right now..........this is a perfect size IMHO.Thanks Leftyposthole this sucker is awesome.

Ron,

Because there is not a ton of strength and the flavors are so good, I think the size of the EPC DR is a plus not a drawback. I agree with you in general about the mega sizing of cigars these days but this one merits the size as you really do enjoy it from start to finish.

These are a fantastic smoke and will age well, I think.

Smoked two and hated them both, bland and monotone IMO and way overpriced compared to the SR.

^ Yep. What he said. Bought a box and wish I had spent the $ on SR. Creamy maybe but one-dimensional. EPC can do better than these.

One dimensional sometimes gets a bad rap when the one dimension is a good one. I don't think anyone made an invalid point here but when a cigar has a flavor I love, I don't need it to change.

Funny how difference of opinion is. I'm fairly picky and love these. They are super flavorful and I'm glad I have more. Not a huge fan of the vitola at all since I like smaller smokes much better, but I'm to the point that size doesnt matter(thats what she said) some blends are much better in different vitolas. I would like to think that they tried variouis vitolas before deciding this was the best. Yes they are pretty expensive but way better than a lot of similarly priced cigars.

If we all liked the same flavor profile they wouldn't make over 5000 different cigars I guess.:-k
