"Free Fall Auctions close at the listed close time or when all items have been sold. Whichever comes first"

Pretty sure that's the same policy as when this thing debuted.

But, today (Thurs), I get an order confirmation on a FF item still open (through Saturday, if they don't sell out.)

Not huge, but nothing else ordered this past week to spread out the shipping cost.

Freefail....

Some fine print I don't understand yet, I'm sure

free fall auctions are considered won even though they haven't closed, pretty sure that's what I read, I have a current order they did a free fall that way, but I thought all items sold on Thur , then shipped, I think it must be 12:01 am eastern maybe thur, when system closes out? 5 more minutes , their phone will be busy?

Yeah,

they cut and ship on Wed, nite, 11:59 pm, that's ok, lesson learned, I didn't get steiger's answer, she couldn't get what I was saying and wasn't even understanding, so I didn't bother. I'm sure you'll get an answer, please post your update as well. I needed some other things, but for the hassle , I'll save overall by doing a CI free shipper pkg

.....that surprised me once as well. I bid on a FREE FALL Auction on Wednesday, not expecting that item to be included in my weekly order on Thursday, since that Auction did not close until Friday. Found out they just send your Free Fall purchase ASAP, regardless of when the Auction closes. It is the one exception they do not tell you about. ๐Ÿคฆ

:-k Since they do this for Free Fall, they should also do it for Quickbuys as well. Both are a 'purchase', not a bid, but they won't include a Quickbuy in any order until that Auction closes.

Free Fall Auction

The Free Fall Auction is the newest feature on CigarBid.com. Hereโ€™s how it works:

Unlike other auctions where the price is driven up by bids, the Free Fall Price is driven down by us and you decide what you are willing to pay. Free Fall Auctions allow you to purchase an item at a discounted price, eliminating the bidding process.

Free Fall Auctions begin at a set starting price. Upon lot opening, the price will start to rapidly fall right in front of you eyes. By clicking the โ€œBuy Nowโ€ button you are agreeing to purchase the item at the price stated at the time of your click.

Once a bidder makes a purchase, or we decide the price has fallen too low the price will reset to the starting price.

If by chance, someone else bought the item seconds before your click you will be notified that the Free Fall Price is resetting.

All purchases are limited to a quantity of one. If you would like to purchase more than one, simply hang around and wait for the price to fall again. Don't wait too long, quantity available is not disclosed so you never know when the last unit is up for grabs.

Free Fall Auctions close at the listed close time or when all items have been sold. Whichever comes first.

Items purchased with Free Fall are processed into orders according to the time the purchase was made, not according to lot close time as QuickBuys do. This means that for daily shippers, the order for won Free Falls will be created that day, and for weekly shippers, the order will be created the next Thursday after the item was won.

You're welcome [sarcasm]

I'm careful to read extras, fine print, etc. That's how the rules read, I just tricked myself/didn't know about their cutoff on when they cut your orders if you have weekly shipping , as I do. Just ticked , cause now, I'll have to eat a little shipping to pick up a lighter and punch that didn't close until today, somebody outbid me, come on. Doubtful, I put a max just under the QB 'cause I been wanting one, oh well crazies are bidding up the fuel to CI price anyway, might as well use free shipping on CI and get the fuel............scratch that, I got good trade material. A good ISO,hehe
