I'm really starting to love smaller ring gauge smokes more and more. I've been trying a lot of lanceros lately but I seem to be having a bit of trouble keeping them lit. I usually draw on a cigar once every minute or so but with these lanceros, they go out. I keep my cabinet at 65 degrees and 66-69 rh. I've never had this problem with any other smokes. Does anyone else have similar issues with smaller r.g. smokes?

Yes, lanceros seem to go out faster for me.

Try dry boxing a couple of days before you smoke them if it's a general problem with a certain stick.

Riverdog...I will try that. Didn't think of it. It's not a specific stick just specific ring gauge. Seems like anything 42 and smaller is when I have the problem. Will try the dry boxing though.

I love lanceros, coronas, and lonsdales. I dry box many for a day or two before enjoying. Certain types seem to require this less than others. You just have to figure out which ones in your rotation benefit from dry boxing. My experience is that most do, but, not all.
