One of the very few upsides to being a ghost writer is that I get to smoke cigars while I work... and it was especially nice this morning to open the humidor before starting work and seeing a collection of sticks that have been gifted to me by some very fine brothers on this site...

there is just something extra-therapeutic about smoking a gifted cigar...

Thanks again for your generosity... Your fine cigars helped me stay (a lil bit) sane today...

Well stated. The only thing better than a gifted stick is sharing one of your prized sticks with a fellow BOTL/SOTL while smoking one!

I post at quite a few forums regularly. Most of them are sports and gambling related.

I stumbled upon this site a month or so ago and started stocking up my humidors. I "browsed" the forums for a few weeks and I've never before seen the type of generosity that is displayed in here on a daily basis.

I plan on being a contributing regular here if you'll have me.

I was doing technical writing (among other things) in the food manufacturing industry for the last 10 years...

I'm just transitioning into content creation and any other writing gig I can find while I build my portfolio... nothing fancy, nothing fun... just a bunch of grueling pay-per-word work on subjects I have no interest in...

Love doing fiction on the side, but I don't get paid, so it's just a hobby...

Writing on subjects you have an interest in doesn't always pay well either. In the past ten years I have made a couple grand off the four books I helped write. Believed I was doing it for a greater good though and things worked out liked we hoped it would so I guess it all evens out in the end.
