My local B&M here in Philly that just held the Pepin mania event is now Holding a Perdomo event and I was wondering if you guys would know if there is anything worth getting from a Perdomo event. If I remember correctly according to the opinions around here Perdomo stuff has gone downhill lately (I've never had a problem) but thought maybe someone knew from an earlier Perdomo event they might have attended if there is going to be anything worth while to go and see if they have. Thanks

I haven't found one that was as strong as I like but I've never had a really bad one from them either. To me they are a good early to mid morning smoke and a good value.

Nick from Perdomo posts here quite a bit. I hope he'll come in this thread and make some suggestions for you.

I like the La Tradition Cabinet Oscuro , and the Champagne is a nice milder smoke.

Also when your B&M has an event I feel like that's good time to give them some support and buy a few sticks. I get most of my stuff at a discount online but I feel we still need to support our local guy especially if he takes good care of you.

My local had Glenn Case in for a Kristoff event last month and I couldn't attend. It killed me to miss it as I always have a box or so of them around!

Send Nick a PM and get some suggestions from him if you're going to go to it.

Tastes change. I find their Edicion de Silvio maduro stays in my top 5 faves.

The ESV offerings are very flavorful. Champagne, and Champ Noir are very good, imo.

As far as the Perdomos going downhill...to each their own. I think the 'domo sticks are among the best rolls for quality and flavor. And they dont kill you in the wallet, either.

The Super toro is a long smoke, may not hit you with a roundhouse to the face for nic content, though. I found it strong. The robusto is a TON of flavor, but I found less nic kick there. Which I prefer. I don't want head spins, I want rich flavor profiles.

To each their own.

I say give em a try.

10th anni maddie, patriarch maddie and champ noir, and not neccessarily in that order. Have a few ESV's been sitting awhile, probably should give em a try soon.

Reminded me of a wrestling event when Jerry Lawler was maybe doing commentary.

They were awarding two old, old wrestlers, Lawler jumps 'em, gets one of the old guys down, pulls off his leg and beats them both with it, with the guys Classic Chit!
