and an H. Upmann Mag 46.Rare that I'm at a loss for words but this pairing was one of my finest to date.I'll give it my best shot. The Ridgemont was new to me......I loved it.Very unique spicy nose and finish, very Rye like in character.I must say this is now a go to bourbon and in my top 3 already.Lots of cinnamon, oak and vanilla but not overly sweet.Who in their right mind wouldn't like that.I may never smoke another Mag 46 without a pour of this bourbon.

My wife hates bourbon/Scotch/Tennessee Whisky.......after a couple sips she stated "wow.....thats not bad.Taste like a cinnamon roll only not as sweet".A glowing review from her.LOL

Nice. Whenever a wife approves too, it makes everything better.

Unless you're someone who hates your wife. Then reverse that! 🤣

So did you take the 1792 neat, an ice cube or two, maybe a wee bit of water?

I've found that a little ice or water typically brings out the more subtle flavors in a good whiskey. I'll be trying this tonight. Thanks for the review, sounds awesome.

Ron both items in your pairing are favorites!

Nothing better than when a pairing just sings....

No.......A very spendy looking decanter but this is in my top 3 under $30 buys of all time.Think I gave $26.95......and I'd buy again if it cost $50.

Top 3 under $30 purchases

#1.George Dickel #12

#2.1792 Ridgemont Reserve

#3.Jim Beam Black(a Knob Creek clone if there ever was one)

I got a bottle of this in my epic booze bombing, still not cracked the seal. (told you azzhats I was set for life with that package) Guess I haven't gotten past reaching for the Blanton's when I want some bourbon. I will try this soon. Nice review Ron.

I'm in the country on a well and I'm very blessed in that my well water is as sweet as spring water, hell, I even drink the water plain!

Finally got time to have a nip, think I'll crack open the 1792, light a good cigar, and call my dad......
