So I'm digging through my liquor cabinet last night looking for a bottle of brandy to make a sauce to fo with the ribeyes I bought. Waaaaaaaay in the back I find a ziploc bag with a Partagas Sabroso in it. I shook the tube and was suprised to feel something moving bak and forth inside.

Hmmmmmm...... So I opened the tube and out popped a cigar. Into my humi it went.

Let me digress for a moment. The first time I got into cigars was about 20 years ago. Smoked one or two a week for a year or so then stopped. A year or so ago, I started smoking one or two a week. The in March of this year I stumbled in here by mistake (a life changing event). All those years ago I smoked almost nothing but the Partagas I spoke of. But, since I started back up, I haven't bought or smoked a Sabroso. My B$M didn't carry them.

Anyway, I opened my humi this morning to get a stick to go with my coffee. I spied the little Partagas lying on top. Hmmmmmm, what the heck.

This mornings smoke has been damn fine!

I've read stories about people finding 50-80 year old machine made cigars, El Productos, King Edwards, Roi Tans and such in old desk drawers and attics. They swear that the smoke was fantastic. I dunno, but I guess if it didn't kill you, that would be fantastic. As for extremely aged hand rolled cigars, some say they are outstanding and others say they become too light. I've started a little box to put away some of my faves, and will try to hang onto them for at least 10-15 years. I just hope I live long enough to smoke em.
