Are the no9 pigs the only real sought after pigs? Or are T52 in demand just as much? I ask because most people I talk to like the T52 better yet most posts are of people ISO no9 pigs. Just curious thanks.

The Flying Pig size was originally released in the No. 9 blend and limited to only 2,000 boxes of 12 ever to be released. Because of the difficulty in rolling these cigars the T52 Flying Pig will be limited as well to 3,250 boxes of 12

I believe this to be correct advice. The box of pigs I saw said box 1330 of 3250. So it's not the preference as much as quantity made I guess???

Extremely helpful posts with no smart azz comments just yet :o).

Much appreciated. Thanks

Seems weird that DE is the only company that says difficulty in rolling the cigars is the reason they limited the production on their most sought after sticks. ie- rats and pigs.

They also said time to bunch the varied tobaccos was too much, and drive prices up to high.

Seems people will pay about anything to get them, maybe lower output on production sticks, up the numbers on rats and pigs.

Thinking out loud.

Remember when he was on here? I think he said a dirty rat would have to sell for $12 to cover the cost of it and loss of production, and who would pay $12 for a corona?

Seen 5 boxes of rats in a store, $180. per.

Go figure.

When you have to put 5 leaves in the filler, it's a bit tricky to get the proportions and bunching right, so, yeah, they have to work a bit more slowly and not all the rollers / bunchers can do them. The typical corona only has like 3 filler leaves.

If they could make more of them, they would. Not all the rollers / bunchers have the talent to roll those cigars, just like not all rollers & bunchers can make figurados in a other factories.

They are slow to make too, Jon's best rolling team only turns out 150 FPs a day. If those two were rolling "normal" cigars, they could crank out 3-4 times that. They really do take 3 times longer to roll due to the extra cutting of the tobacco, the odd shape, the fact that they have to switch tools a few times during the rolling of each cigar.

Honestly I have no idea. But what I can say is I love Liga's. I'd pay the price cause the quality is there every time! Iv had some with issues, but overall it's still one of the best sticks out on the market

It's not just the difficulty rolling, but also the tobacco used that can cause liga to be sold out often. But no matter, I enjoy them.

They're your cigars, do what you want with them. If you think you can profit on them, toss them out there and ask for what you want, you'll find out soon enough what the market will bear. Just don't be a douche about it.
