For me the 1st third was kinda flat with nothing but tobacco flavor. At the halfway point it opened up with a little cedar, leather and a good amount of what seemed like black licorice. That carried on into the last third then flattened out again with the tobacco being the dominate flavor but I also got a hint of coco and spice.
Overall a good stick that I would try again but I won't go out of my way to find them.

The maduro torpedo was quite decent and a much different flavor profile than what you described. Not sure whihc one you smoked.
