I got this in the mail today from Jnichols. I came with a very kind note and a great selection of cigars. But, what I REALLY like is the piece of turned burl wood art piece he sent me. I LOVE stuff like this. I can't stop pickingit up and running my fingers over it because it feels so cool. Almost like an eggshell it doesn't even feel like a piece of wood it's so smooth. I also like how one half you can see the wave of the wood grain and the bottom part is the burl pattern in the wood along with some knots and imperfections in the wood but they are very very smooth. It's joining the other little things I keep on display on my desk like a few pieces of a geode an arrowhead I once found, a very small brass clock and a couple of other little artsy pieces that I enjoy. This package was awesome and made my day! Thanks so much Jim I really appreciate everything you sent!

that's a really cool piece, would have to be witnessed in person to really be appreciated, coming from another woodworker. Gonna have me looking for burls now. I will ship 'em to ya.
