My tastes are starting to change and looking for some recommendations on some new cigars. I used to go after anything and everything Maduro for the sweetness and although I still like the sweet...I am now searching for cigars with lots of spice (think cinnamon and nutmeg...not pepper).

Just had an Oliva V which hit the mark as well as a Liga No. 9. Heard that the Tat Black will be a good fit too, but have never tried one.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

La Flor Dominicana (and the Litto Gomez lines), La Auroras, and Fuentes taste spicy, not peppery. Cameroon wrapped cigars would be good bets.

Thanks for the replies. Just put in an order for some Tat Blacks. Never had an LFD and never knew they fit the spice profile so may have to try those next. Only ever had a Fuente Short Story Maduro so will need to try some of those as well.

The Cameroon wrapper is going to be new to me and looking forward to it since I mostly stuck with Maduro in the past. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated!

Tat Fausto has more pepper, but, may also fit your desired profile. Very spicy.

If you are looking for something different outside of a maduro I would grab a few Torano Exodus Silver. I know it is an inexpensive stick but it surprised me. I picked some up for the heck of it to try as a mild morning cigar but found it to be a refreshing change from my usual sticks.

Kind of reminds me of a Partagas spanish rosado with a little more kick. Has a floral/fruity sweetnes and a cinnamon flavor like a stick of dentene gum. Long finish too.

I can send you one or two if you like.

Yep, hill5673 nailed it. The Torano line has a lot of sticks with complex spicy (cinnamon, nutmeg, sage, rosemary, etc)/tangy (like citrus zest)/floral/sweet nuances with less pepper. Lots of good flavorful cigars from Honduras that are less peppery than Nicaraguan cigars. Other Honduran brands that fit your objective and which I've tried and really like, include Punch (Grand Puro) and Hoyo de Monterrey (Excalibur).
