yeah, I'm a bit of an AJ ho.....

I know it's a budget stick.......

I know it's a short, fat, un-popular vitola.......

I know they're rough/edgy OTT, or even a month or two later..........

but guess what kiddies...........

yesterday I dug one outta the cooler that had 15 months on it..........

one of the best $2 cigars I've had in a looong time, and better than plenty I've smoked costing two/three times that......

lots of leather, coffee and bitter chocolate notes with a rich tobacco undertone...

very mild spice hit on retrohale, which is smooth, even when retrohaling 100% of a big draw...

rich, thick smoke, perfect burn, never got hot, down to the nub.....that fat ring gauge keeps things cool...

I even did the stupid "stand the cigar on its ash trick", as the first ash held to 2 inches, and I stood the Shorty up........next time I'll take a pic of it standing next to a bottle of Stella...........

gonna smoke another one today..............

carry on.......

I actually just had one myself yesterday and agree that it is a great smoke. Mine had about 8 months of rest on it, and I could tell a HUGE difference from what they were like ROTT. I got tons of chocolate notes, a very mild spice and hint of mint every now and then in the beginning (weird). Glad I bought an entire box of these...can't wait to see how these progress with even more time on them.
