I've had both Jamie. Not a huge fan of the Abyss but love the LFD

Rouge Mocha Porter and Cain F lancero. Not bad.

Thanks to Elkhunter and FGM I had enough stock of LFD to risk smoking one. TJ these are amazing.

Abyss is THE standard for what Russian Imperials should be when it comes to balance & flavor. So smooth. So good...

There are others in its class, but very, very few. Founders KBS is one of em'.

Laurelwood was doing a tasting at my beer shpo tonight their Russian Imperial stout moose n squirrel was pretty tasty. But nowhere near Abyss good.

I like some Laurelwood stuff.....their workhorse IPA being by far my fave from them. Good, but not great for the rest I've tried from them

Their punkin ale is good (not sweet at all just spice).
