Manuel Quesada jr is the master blender and head of the MATASA cigar factory in the DR where those came from. Some of his other lines are Fonseca, Casa Magna & Cubita. He also produces a number of house brands for various vendors, CI being one of them with the CI Legends Blue and possibly some others that I can't recall the name of.

As a whole, generally very consistent, quality cigars, lots of options there with all of his lines. Fonseca has something like 5 or 6 sub lines under it - some are exclusive to other vendors. I don't personally care for their profile, but the Casa Magna is a solid smoke that has done quite well in the ratings.

I've had 2 of those and both were outstanding. But I had no idea they weren't available in the U.S. Now I'm pissed.

Yup that's why I try not to get attached to HTF gars I'm sure I could go on a quest for them and find them at a price and it will drive me nuts

you can find them online in US shops. I picked some up in Old San Diego last winter, also....

and yes, very nice smoke. Dare I say...."Box worthy". lol

the Jalapa one is just as good IMO.

also, the Casa Magna Domus Magnus(sp) are fine smokes too.

Well that is not quite true, there about 40 boxes a month given to U.S. retailers to sell (of all three sizes combined)....
