Heya everyone

So now that i am about to ship my first bomb off (small bomb in comparison to some i have seen here lol)

What is the best company to use, Reputation, reliability, prices, etc..

What tips and tricks are used by the veterans here to keep the shipping cost low?

I use to use USPS flat rate boxes but got to expensive. So know I go get the little flat rate box and take a brown paper bag, turn it inside out and wrap it like a Christmas present. Then take whit sticky labels or a white note card. Write on that and cover the clear tape over it. This puts the cost anywhere from 2.50-4.00 with DC as opposed to 6.10.

Hope this is somewhat helpfully. If your sending a humidor or something heavy use a medium or large flat rate box.

You can also buy brown shipping paper but I don't want to spend money in boxes an paper because then I might as well be usin the flat rte to save time. It is very time consuming to do it my way and makes it hard to ship a lot of stuff if you ably have a short amount of time after work or whatever I make it to the PO but I've already saved over a hundred bucks. You can also try and pack the night before them drop off the next day.

In baggies? Bubble packages? Are humidity packs necessary?

You'll want to secure them somehow... Most use bubblewrap. Humi packs are rarely used, even by retailers. Once the package is opened, sticks will get put back into humi and there will be little harm done.

Go USPS but not Flat rate. Get the Priority Mailing box. There is a size just a bit larger than a Small Flat Rate box and you can fit a good size smacking in it with adequate padding.

These are shipped by weight and since cigars don't weigh much it will save a buck or two over a SFR.

The box # is 0-1096L. The lady at the Post office asked me why I wasn't using these since my boxes didn't weigh much. She said it would save on shipping and she was right. How often does something like that happen at the PO?

Hey dub?? Do they sell these at The PO?? Somebody sent me one and it was perfect size. But my PO only has the flat rates out in the lobby? Do you have to ask them? Thas why I've been wrapping the flat rates but that are usually a little too small with all the padding.

Order them from their interweb site. They will send them to you.

My Po has them sitting out but they are not with the Flat Rates. Usually where the shipping supplies are. Just ask them, if they don't have them they can get them, just tell them that #.
