Went by the B&M and treated myself to one today. Should I smoke it today or let it rest?

Which one did you buy? The pink, green, white, black, red, etc.?

They need some age to be best. Have a few left from a box dated '03 and they continue to get better.

Not planning on waiting that long. Forgot to check the box date, but the cello is slightly dingy. I'll have to check the date next time I go in.

There aren't dates on Fuente boxes (to my knowledge). You just have to ask the store owner if they know when they got them. I think they are usually released twice a year. Holidays and Father's day or something like that.

If you've never had one then smoke it immediately. Then buy another and put it back for a bit.

Well Mo, I'm taking your advice. I just lit it. About a 1/4 inch into it. Lots of full bodied flavor. Let's see what the journey is like. Going out later to do some Christmas shopping. Will have to get another and let it sit for comparison.

One of my top 5 favorites. I try to never run out of them. I could smoke this cigar every day.

A little over an inch into it. The ash is holding nice and tight, the pepper I noticed early on has almost disappeared. Now it's got a real nice leathery/earthy taste. The draw is unbelievable.

I definetly see why. This is a wonderful smoke. I wish it were about twice as long though. I love full bodied smokes. This one is a winner in my book.

Half way into it. Wow, it seems like the flavor profile changes with nearly every draw. The pepper has started to ease back in. Ash is still holding though a bit droopy. Perhaps there is a reason it's so short. Don't know if I'd make it through a churchill with this much body.

All good things must come to an end. This little slice of heaven has lasted about 55 minutes. I can barely hold it with burning my fingers. It's the first cigar that's ever tempted me to break out the pliers.

I'm going to smoke an opus tonight.
