I know there are cigars that seem to go with certain holidays or events. Example being Dark/White meat for Thanksgiving or smoking the CAO Constitution or Potomac on the 4th of July. Besides the "It's a Boy or Girl" cigars are there any cigars out there that are inspired by having or expecting a child? I wasn't into cigars with my first child but would like to have something this time around when the baby comes in August(ish).

The research I've done really only shows cigars that were made or named for their specific son/daughter or named for them after they have passed away.

Figured I'd ask you guys/gals, for the knowledge here is better than any magazine. Thanks.

Most "It's a boy/girl" cigars suck. Even the Fuente ones are just crappy short filler Curlyheads.

Wait until your child is born, then source a box of Cuban cigars with that month & year date code (might take many months before that date code shows up at the vendors). Store them for 18 years and then look for a time to break the cigars out and share one with them.

I've always liked this idea. Alternatively, I like similar plan, but getting box before the due date and then smoking one on the day of birth and again each year on their birthday - until sharing one with them at 18.

Bought a box of Ashton 8-5-8's when my son was born. Designed my own bands to put on them. Son still uses the box today for his trinkets.

Have you decided on a name for the baby? Might be a cigar with same or similar name that you can adopt as a celebratory smoke on special occasions for it, assuming it's a good one (cigar that is).

Or there might be a limited edition/release of a good one that comes out on the month and year of birth...good excuse to try some new stuff.

Picture yourself saying in five years, "how'd you like school today, Anejo?"

No idea if it's a boy or girl yet but we've thought of some names, nothing in stone yet. Like the ideas of getting something in same month/year of birth.
