I bought a box but it's still sealed up.

Should I crack it open or sit on them for a while?

I know the last few years versions of these got a lot better after a year.

Looking for opinions of those that have smoked them.

I found that the Candy Canes were good already but the Stuffed Turkeys aren't on yet at least they weren't for me.

I would have to recommend save for a while at least 1st half was great, then got just a little funky ended a little harsh.

The rest of mine are going to nap awhile gave 3 or 4 away before I smoked one! Have to quit doing that!

It's all in preference. I always remove the plastic, open and inspect, then close and store.

Yes, the 2012 need to rest til next year.

I'm going to crack them open to send a few out tomorrow so I'll smoke one then and let them rest for a comparison.

Haven't been able to find any down here in key west. I can find something that would be acceptable return fire.

Hold them for one year. Sell them. Declare the profit on your taxes as "long term capital gains."

2009s were great, 10s and 11s were a let down for me. I've heard the 12s are closer to the originals, so I am curious to try them.

I smoked one in January when I cracked it open to send Fiddler (I think) some and it was just ok. I'll fire another one up tonight.

The "09"'s to me are the best Viaje I've had.

I've had one 2012......ranked right down there with the rest of the Viajes I've tried.I don't get this entire line of cigars....no balance, power for the sake of power and usually the second half of these get so harsh they're unsmokable.

Good luck
