Not a fan. Never been impressed or thought I got good value from a Fuente cigar. Until yesterday. For the first time, I was like that Fios commercial "I get it." 858 SG. Pretty damn good.

Magnum R 44's......best value on the planet IMO.In it's price range nothing else even comes close.

Just the opposite of the OP here. For the money I think Fuente makes some of the most consistently good cigars of any manufacturer out there.

+1 on those mentioned above plus Anejo most any Rosie.

Cameroon wrapper is far from my favorite wrapper.

So I never went to Fuentes much when I got back into cigars the second time. But then I tried a double chateau Sungrown. Then a maduro (can't remember which) at that point I was more willing to try em. I still don't care for a large number of Fuentes but my tastes have changed quite a bit and I LOVE me some Fuentes.

Agree with Z. The non Cameroon wrappers are amazing cigars. Hemi maduro, and Anejo being my faves. Opus are ok, just too mild, and overpriced normally.

Been through several boxes of the 858's in all wrappers they go like this;

Sungrown

Maduro

Rosado

Cameroon

Candela

The best thing about the rosado is it is good ROTT and is still a great morning smoke today.

All the rest I like to rest for a long time. Well except for the candela.

The 858 is one of my favorite sticks regardless of wrapper.The rosado is my favorite with the sungrown coming in 2nd.
