Began smoking cigars 7-8 years ago. Fuenta candelas, Churchill and 858’s were in my regular rotation. Gave them up after a couple of years as my taste developed toward stronger profiles as most smokers.

After reading a few recent threads on Illusione candelas, I purchased a fiver of the 888’s and 88 Robusto’s. Have now smoked 3 or 4 of each and find both to be enjoyable and a better flavor than the Fuentes.

In my opinion the 888 has a better flavor profile(more spice) than the 88 Robusto.

Any opinions?

888 is stronger with much more flavor than the 88.

The Holy Lance is pure butter.

Was trying to decide what to smoke tonight, but think it will be a 888.

The LFD candela wasn't bad to me, and I'm not a candela fan. Had one at MMM. thought it was better than most.

I like candelas for earlier in the day........I don't smoke often, but prefer the ones without spice, best I remember I tried a Cmacho, and it was real spicy, might try one of those................

the best I had was from a family shpo, rolled in house on 7th in Ybor City, sweetened tip, nice medium filler, yum.

This is the first positive talk I've ever really noticed about candela's (except the wallet kind)... I've been smoking for just over a year now and I've never had one... I read this thread last night and then this afternoon ended up by happenstance to be near a cigar shpo I'd never been to before... pretty good selection for a hole-in-the-wall...

they didn't have 888's but had one 88 in a corona... I snagged it and am looking forward to firing it up tonight...

Smoked the 88 last night... seemed like it started to hint at that buttery flavor I've come to love from certain connecticut shades, but it never really developed into anything solid... it was definitely a very smooth smoke and very mellow... overall I wasn't thrilled with it, but it was nice enough that I'm gonna have to go pick up an 888 to try...

Smoked first HL this P.M. and would have to say it is a notch above the 888.
