It seems, based on this and one of your other pics, that the stuff that is growing is growing on the cello rather than on the actual cigar. That's probably not good...or, at the least, nothing to get excited about (i.e. plume).

so, wasting my time then. got it. into the trash. unless someone here wants them for some reason.

The price of these cigars is not worth the risk. Heck, some place a few weeks ago had 50 lots of an Oliva 10 pack sampler (O, O Maddie, G, Cain, Cain F, Cain Daytona, MB3, Connie, & 2 Nubs) up, and they closed at $15 or $1.50 per stick.

Again, just not worth getting sick over.

While the gesture was nice (gifted to you by bro-in-law), we're talking 6 cigars that you have $0 invested in and you can pickup just about anywhere anytime. No great loss on your end. It may not be worth mentioning, maybe it's just me, but I might want to ask the bro-in-law how he stored them, and if he's aware of any water/moisture damage at some point. Of course, thank him...and let him know they look like nice cigars, and you've heard good things/reviews about them. But I wonder if there's more to the story. I'm just curious like that. 😰

Screw that. Last thing someone needs is mold growing in their lungs all for cigars that cost nothing? I'd make sure you wash the hell out of your hands and change your clothes etc before you go anywhere near your humidors.
