1--Had my first Paul Stulac (White Blinding Light Robusto). While the price tag is hefty and I know some won't pay above $10 for any cigar, this was excellent. It was well constructed, tasted great and was just an overall pleasure to smoke.

2--The first cigar that hooked me was the 1964 PAM. I spent years as one of this cigars biggest fans. Recently I was gifted a box of 1964 PAN (I know pretty lucky). I had never tried the naturals for some reason but what an eye opener. They were excellent. Smooth and creamy. I think I like them better than the maduros.

3--After some friends did not enjoy the 2012 Tatuaje Mummy, I sat on mine for a while without much enthusiasm for smoking it. I love the Lil Monsters so I finally broke out my Mummy for the NC game. Lets just say the cigar was WAY better than the game. I really liked it. The Monsters are all so uniquely flavored that even if the profile isn't my favorite I find them so interesting that I always enjoy them.

4--For me the best new boutique brand of the year has to be Curivari. While I have only had the pleasure of smoking the Seleccion Privada at this point, that us a wonderful cigar and with a price tag of about $6, a major steal.

5--I am one of the few people I know that has grown increasingly more interested in a more mild cigar the more I smoke and not always in search of stronger sticks. In that sense I have been on the ultimate Connecticut search. So far the San Lotano Connecticut Lancero is one of the most impressive. The AKA Solace isn't far behind either. I have tried the Aging Room Havao as well and I grew to like it the more of them I tried.

OK that's enough blathering for now.

Alot of us are starting to enjoy a milder smoke, I don't always want to sit and just think about every puff and savor every nuance of flavor, just want something I can enjoy................

I've always favored Padron Anniversary in natural wrappers. Don't get me wrong, maduro is also way up there on my list. You're the only other botl on here I can recall expressing as much.

My related random thought: I've smoked 2 80 year maduros. They are the only Padron in the anniversary or family reserve line I did not think worth the coin. The natural 80 is probably my top cigar, period.

I love a mild-med cigar. Has to have lots of flavor. some have not muich flavor and not complex at all. then I might as well go full body or get me some spicy cigars.

PAM is a fav and the PAN's are right there too.

Add me to the list of people in favor of mild/medium cigars... Strong cigars are nice now and again but I just don't enjoy them as much as I enjoy a lighter smoke...

I'm liking milder cigars as well these days. Also on the search for the "Ultimate Connecticut". So far I'd say AVO XO, but I haven't had the Lotano Lancero.

4 years, and I'm also leaning toward milder cigars. I use to love power house smokes, the stronger the better, but now prefer a good medium to medium/mild.

Milder? Hell, the word "medium" is almost used like a slur around here. I usually smoke full bodied smokes but enjoy a medium smoke at times.

FLor de Las Antilles is a very good medium stick, The LGC Retro Especiales are also good with an Ecuador Connecticutt wrapper. I don't mind a less than full bodied smoke as long as it's not bland. Gots ta have da flava.

I like full bodied-full flavored cigars.

To me, mild cigars are flavorless.

Mild are, well, mild....but if medium to medium/full are flavorless, your tastebuds are ligero numb........................... I suffered from ligero overdose and eventually backed off on strength in favor of more elegant flavored smokes which may be considered by some to be "mild". After a weekend of heavy smoking full flavored sticks my tongue would actually hurt to the point of not enjoying the experience. And the cigar mouth was wretched.

Sure, I still enjoy a Viaje, JDN, LFD and others one in a while, 95% of my daily rotation are in the medium to medium/full range. My tastebuds thank me every time I light up.

SRH I I have been noticing that a cigar does not taste as good lately as well, my tongue burns and I'm not picking up near as many flavors. Thought I might be smoking to many, 4 or 5 a day. Think that is why I enjoy some the milder ones now. I do miss all those great flavors but, can't stand the harshness I get from so many stronger cigars. The fact that I have been sick doesn't help either.

I've only had one Padron, it was a Natural, I don't care for maduro's typically, so didn't grab one...........I really liked it, prefer the WOAN over the WOAM,

as for milder, I've learned in my year of getting into premium cigars, I prefer medium to medium/strong, but tend to only smoke a cigar at night at the end of the day, or after a heavy meal,

I dipped powder snuff, chewed plug, and twist tobacco, smoked cigarettes, even the unfiltered clove Djarum's, and Capones years ago, then went 10 years without smoking any tobacco.........

Many of the tobacco's I chose were a little stronger, but sweet, seems to be what I "look" for in a cigar as well, but most of the Connie wrapped cigars are a little too much like a cigarette now, and I haven't found hardly any I like.
