I just got a few cigars that I will be trying with in the next week:

Gurkha Ghost- Heard some good things.

Gurhka Royal Challenge- heard it is just like the park ave.

Candy Cane- I was looking everywhere for this cigar and found it. I heard it is hit and miss cigar.

La Perla Habana Grand pearl- I heard it is really bland

BLEND LAB:

RT654- M-M

JS650- M-M

ZF544- M-M I heard this is going to be a pretty good stick.

If any one has had these, what are your thoughts?

The Gurkha Ghost is still a fairly new stick... I think it's still a little too early for the counterfeits to start showing up here... I've had the Angel (tubo) and was impressed...

I am honestly not a big fan of Gurkha but you gotta try everything atleast once before writing them off.

Fakes probably isn't the right word... it's more like a 2nd round bargain blend... also known as wh0ring yourself out...

Would most people consider the Gurkha Ghost as the best Gurkha out there? I see the ghost mentioned all the time as a good smoke even from the most anti Gurkha people out there. It's got me curious enough that I'm going to grab one the next chance I have.

Just smoked one of the blend labs. It is described as:

ZF-544

(5.0" x 44)

- A rich, rewarding short smoke

- Notes of coffee, pepper, sweetness

- Long toasty finish

- Perfect for the colder months

I would have to agree with the pepper notes and slight sweetness. To me though it was a nice smooth smoke . The contruction of the cigar is nice. I maintained a nice long ash on it suprisingly. Because of the small size of the cigar i used a punch cutter. The draw on the cigar was perfect. I did not pick up on the coffee note. But I am used to the infused cigars that have such an over powering coffee note that I usually dont pick up the slight coffee notes.

ALL IN ALL.... I'd buy another one.

Not your first cigar I see. :)

About the candy cane- my first one I smoked had a lot of burn issues. This was because I smoked it the day it arrived or the day after. Completely my fault. But even then the flavor was great. The second one, I made sure to leave it at 62-65% RH for the week and it burned and tastes great. Not the type of cigar I usually smoke yet I loved it and would smoke more.

Learned something today (blend labs). Yet another cigar to add to the ever growing list of "Hmm, might want to try that".
