Does anyone have a phone number or email address for Mitch? My son's youth group is going to start a drive to ship boxes over there filled with what they want and need. Need to speak to Mitch to find out what they really want and really need. Also getting the entire 5th and 6th grade classes to write letters to the Marines over there. So my son is currently planning a fund raiser and setting up a drop off place to receive donated items. So I have Mitch's address for over there but I'd like to get in contact through email or by phone. If anyone knows who might have this info it would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Celtic

Stephen, OpFTH website has a list probably a safe starting point. I know razors, jerky, powdered drinks and good socks are always good.

Good job kids!

He is no longer in Afghanistan. If you are dong a drive, I recommend sending to OpFTH. They will make sure troops get package in Afghanistan. I do believe, although other folks couldcorrect me that should avoid posting his full name ans rank, which is why I only used his first name.

Okay thanks, I'll take a look at that site so I can get the lists of items they need donated and start passing those out. Proud of my kids. They decided to do this all on their own. My son Jacob(14) is on his youth groups council as the Social Actions leader. Meaning he decides what the group is going to do to help any social issue's he comes up with. They are going to hit stores for donations of materials and cash etc, he's got the younger kids writing letters and taking pictures of their homes and their favorite places etc. So not only do these guys get to read about their kids they'll get to see their kids and whatever else the kid decides to put in the letter.

All the active military and vets I've met or communicated with have all said how much it means to them when kids say thank you for their service. One recently told me it gives him hooe that parents are teaching them right, that they are protecting us. Good job!
