Thoughts on these?

Bought a Gurkha Ghost Angel en Tubos yesterday at the B&M. Smells strong as hell. Haven't got around to trying it yet.

Was wondering what anyone else thought of em.

I bought one at a B&M last weekend because I read that they were being produced by PDR, and I had heard good things from other botls. But it's been too cold to smoke so I don't know yet.

BTW- it will the be first gurkha I've smoked in about 2 years.

I've had the ghost tubo... I was a big Gurkha fan when I first started smoking... not so much these days... the ghost is a good stick, but the price point is off... it's a cigar worth trying once... and it really isn't too strong... nothing Gurkha makes is...

I remember when you loved the fact that everyone bashed Gurkhas here, cause then you could pick them up "cheap"..............

I still like the original Titan (when it burns properly) and the Centurian is a decent morning smoke when it has some time on it.....like a year or so.......

but, have not bought a Gurkha in a loooong time

Those were the days... but it seems like almost a year to the day that I started smoking cigars I began to realize that every gurkha I got from here tasted just like the last gurkha i got from here and didn't enjoy...

but my dad-in-law says he's never met a Gurkha he didn't like, so I still buy them for him on occasion... so stay away noobs... or at least don't bid more than $1 for them...

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't buy Gurkha's on cbid...

I tried it last night. Started off with a blast of pepper but calmed down pretty quickly. Burn, draw, etc all perfect. Wasn't exactly my palette but it wasn't a bad cigar. Had to slow down a little on the last 3rd as the nic started to get to me (haven't been smoking a lot lately). I would not have known it was a gurkha but for the outrageously loud holographic band.

Gurkha Haters: Please don't bombard me with your nonsense. I have no interest in discussing the innumerable Gurkha lines, inconsistency, blah, blah, blah...this is simply about the Ghost.

I tried a Ghost after having a friend recommend it. Since then, I have smoked about a half-dozen of these as I really enjoy them. The only 3 sizes I have tried are the Shadow (5x52), Asura (6x52) and the Exorcist (6x60). Normally, I enjoy the larger ring sizes but I found the Asura was the better of the smokes. With the exception of one Exorcist, the construction is spot on, the draw is darn near perfect, and the flavors are great. I especially enjoy the fullness/heaviness in the last 3rd of the cigar. It has a long finish and a heck of a nic punch. Oddly enough, I found it more noticeable on the Asura than the Exorcist. Gurkha has a hit with this one...which is why we will never find it on-line. I did a full review on my personal blog....
