So i just got back from deployment and after greeting wife and kids i go to my humi to see how it's holding up and grab a stick to celebrate. I notice the rh is at 60% and the fan on the humicare will kick on but won't spin! Is it done for or is there a fix for this? I'm glad i also had my lovely beads in there or things could've been worse!](*,)

Welcome home. The main body of my unit just went through demob. I got real lucky and am still in country.

Hope your sticks are still good.

No advice for your fan, but glad you're home and back with your family. What are you smoking to celebrate?

Thanks for your service. Follow Mikey's advice. If that doesn't work take the unit out. Spray a little WD-40 on the bearing in the center. Wait a few minutes and plug it back in might just work. If all else fails remove the fan and replace it.

And as said by many others THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!

A drop or two of quality lubricating oil (sewing machine, bearing oil, etc.) would work too (better in imho)

Traditional WD-40 as a lubricant has limitations.........again imho

Thanks for your service

Before you load it up with WD40 or any other lubricant, try bolwing it out with compresses air. Something could be caught in the bearing or shroud. If that doesn't free it, then I would go the lubricant route, but not WD40 unless you like infused cigars.

Welcome home, thanks for your service, food grade silicone spray lube might help, but any lube will most likely just prolong the inevitable, the fan may be easy to change like stated above

warranty still good maybe? good luck

Good advice here. There is also several companies that make a dry silicone spray that might be a little better than any petrolium based products. No mess and orderless.

Thanks all for the welcome home messages. I smoked an ep Carrillo cardinal and a VSG while sipping on some Booker's. To celebrate both being home and my birthday and after a lil Booker's wasn't even concerned about the fan! Lol
