I was really interested in this cigar mainly due to a lot of forum posts where fellow BOTL seemed to give the stick pretty good reviews. I was gifted one by a friend saving me having to buy before trying. I think the most common thing I have read is that people are comparing it to the LP 9. After smoking it I can see why some people say that.

First off, let me say this isn't an LP9 competitor. It is not nearly as refined a cigar as a Liga. I thought after the first third I may have found a bargain replacement Liga but as the cigar progressed it became less interesting and a little one dimensional. After saying all that, this is a good $3 cigar (seen it that low as a box price on CI). It was well made, had good flavors and worth the price just don't expect a now $14 LP in a $3 stick. i bought 4 boxes in the initial offerings months ago. loved the first ones i smoked, but, i have found them to be very inconsistent and they do not age well. it may be some ongoing fermentation but i have actually pitched a couple after lighting. i have a box + left and will let them sit for another 6 monts minimum before i try again.

I thought they needed age (also initial release robustos) and they did get better for me. I have maybe 4-5 left.

Well, I like them, but agree that it is a good $2-$3 smoke at most. The folks paying $4, $5, $6 at auction hoping for a cheap Liga are going to be very disapointed.

I have found this one goes well with my morning coffee. I think that it is a good smoke for $3...but beyond that, I agree with the above posts.
