Gran Toro...

tasted great....

but..........that dang wrapper is FRAGILE!

head almost unraveled upon clip..

wrapper started splitting/coming apart at 1/2 way mark..

it still burned/smoked like a champ, but it was butt-ugly toward the end...

think I'll go v-cut next time........

Solid smoke. I try to keep a handful on me.

I v-cut almost everything.. Aside from small rg and torps, belis, etc..

That's weird, I've never had issues with mine, but I don't normally smoke the Toro, I usually stick to Robustos. I've always thought they had a pretty solid wrapper. Hopefully they aren't sacrificing quality to produce more.

Did you smoke it right out of the box/B&M? Some times those suckers need a rest in a humi before you bring them out because the transit has dried them out a bit. I have seen more than my share of Undercrowns shred to hell at my B&M but as several have commented, it doesn't seem to affect the quality of the flavor much. I tend to buy mine and rest them at least a couple of weeks or a month before I bring them out to smoke and I have never had a problem with mine.

Good luck with #2!!!

21 days in my humi....

think I'll wait a month or so and try again with a v-cut

very nice flavors, and did burn/smoke well despite the wrapper issues.....

I've had two robs fall apart, but never had an issue with the toro, and I've smoked maybe 2 boxes worth.

it sounds like you clipped beyond the cap if it started unraveling at the head.

What the hell do V cut a cigar for? Why don't you just use your eye tooth. Lick that sucker real good and bite the cap off. Those flavored cigars will never know the difference.

I've clipped a few cigars in my time...........and I wasn't drunk....(I have mangled a couple drunk prepping in the dark)....but not this time.....

one thing I forgot to mention.....

the volume of resting smoke was ridiculous.........smoke bomb

That is pretty typical of undercrowns, dry or no...no shortage of smoke but they burn well!

Seconds? [LOL]

I got a box of the OR. Wrapper was so thick/wet it was difficult to burn. Definitely not fragile. Wonder if they've been resting long enough.
