Had the need to run some errands in the old truck today.

Gave me the opportunity to light up another Obsidian DP for the ride around town.

While this one was not as flat as the first, it was really only tobacco and pepper notes. Seemed really poorly constructed vs. some of the other DPs I've smoked.

Is it just the shape from Obsidian? Some have indicated that it's not a bad smoke for the price, but I think that the review was of a robusto. I'll not buy the DP again.

So any thoughts?

Was it a very, very loose draw? If so, that's not the obsidian most of us are used to smoking... they've been having some issues as of late... a good obsidian will have a nice firm draw and will only cost $1...

VERY easy draw. Very light in weight.

Was prepared to like it very much after reading the reviews.

Perhaps it is just me. 😟

I may try a few of the robustos - see how they go.

I don't think the vitola is the problem... I've been smoking my favorite size and recently they suddenly stopped being what they once were... you're probably better off waiting a month or so and then bidding on some more...

again, a good Obsidian - regardless of size - will have a very, very firm draw... and will only cost a dollar...

Well that would make sense cuz the last one I smoked, the filler lit-up like the fast-burning fuse of a firecracker...
