This is my last blind from Steve. Thanks again for the chance to participate guys. Steve you have sent some great sticks. Tom, this was a great idea and a great way to try some different smokes. . .
Cigar is a medium brown wrapper with a couple of veins. Forgot to measure before I got started, but I'd say it was about 6 /12 by 52 ring gauge.
Pre-light draw as fairly easy, with not real strong flavor, just a little sweet tobacco.
Upon lighting I got a sense of chocolate, that quickly faded in to notes of cedar and leather. Ash is a medium gray. A medium amount of smoke with a nice nose to the smoke. First 1/3 was very leather and about the 1/3 mark got some bitterness. By the halfway point the bitterness had gone away and the cigar mellowed to a nice leather, and spice. 1st ash held for about 1 1/2 inches. As I went through the second third I got notes of chocolate and some nuts to go along with the spices. Note, no pepper in this cigar.
Final third was very smooth with some sweetness on the lips. Ash held to over 2 inches after the first ashing.
Burn was even throughout. Overall a very nice cigar, definitely noticed the profile changing as the cigar went on and it really smoothed out in the last half. I really enjoyed this and it made for a perfect afternoon break.
Thanks again Steve it was very good.
My guess. . . no clue
