I strongly recommend against them in general... if you absolutely have to, tabak especial red eye, acid blondie, or gurkha grand reserve...

Smoke one that has a flavor you like and see how it goes. I like the "flavor" of a baitfish!

Tobacco is what I look for in cigars. No experience with the artificial flavored type.

First, Welcome.

Second, ignore the smartazz posts. Burn what you like.

As to your question...the flavored cigar realm is pretty big...which is surprising as sooooo many people dog them. Between you and me, I bet many people have a special humi full of them. For cigars so reviled, they do sell well. You will find that there are some (Tatiana) that are more flavor and artificially sweet than they are tobacco. On the other hand, there are some sticks that are lots of tobacco with only hints of flavor. Some of the "big" lines you will see are ACIDS, CAO Flavors, and some Drew Estate stuff (they do the ACID stuff too).

ACID cigars, to me, are like smoking incense. I do enjoy the Kuba Kuba on occasion. Others in the line I despise.

CAO Flavors taste like basic cigars with artificial flavors added.

I can't say much about much of the Drew Estate (non-ACID) lines. I have only had 2 and while they were not bad, I was not overly impressed.

Almost forgot...Java/Java Mint...now, these I enjoy. Also by Drew Estate I find the mints...well...fun.

I will say that the size of the stick affects flavor. Generally, the smaller the stick, the more the flavors will overwhelm the tobacco. On the other hand the larger sticks have a greater tobacco flavor.

Try, play enjoy. Also, consider trading with someone. I am sure all the people on these boards who give flavored/infused cigars schit would love to unload some. Just remember, as the noob you should offer up your end of the trade first until you build a rep.

Good luck...and if you have a thin skin, RUN!

Pretty buch what he said, but i will elaborate just a bit.

Coming from a cigar smoker who generally enjoys non-flavor/infused cigars regularly I would recommend the Acid Opulence 3, Drew Estates Natural Line, (Irish Hops, Dirt Torpedo, Root)

As far as Acids regular line of infused cigars, they have 4 different groups, Red label, Blue Label, Purple Label, Yellow Label. Most people seem to enjoy the Yellow and Blue labeled cigars from them, Specifically as Tim mentioned the Kuba Kuba and Blondie/Blondie Belicoso from the Blue Label. For the Yellow Label i can only speak to one cigar, Cold Infusion. I dont think i have ever given anyone that cigar that hasn't liked it. From what i understand, the Purple Label is more "Floral" while the Red is more "Bold"

The Tabak Especial and Tabak Especial LTD. Line are gret if you like Coffee infused, Better than the Javas IMHO. Just wont find the MINT in this line (which aint bad)

Jump on the n00b PIB Just MAKE SURE THE PERSON YOUR SENDING TO WILL SMOKE FLAVORED/INFUSED CIGARS! There seem to be quite a bit of infused flying around that place and i dont think everyone who is receiving them, likes them. HINT HINT fellow n00bs (not talking about me I got a couple from ben, he knows which ones i will smoke)

By far my favorite Acid that I've had is the Kuba Kuba/Kuba Kuba Maduro. Tried a few others which have been fine, but nothing special. Have an Opulence 3 that has been resting for a month or so, friends of mine have flocked to those. Last one left, but I still haven't tried 'em myself. I've got some Naturals, and Tabak Especials incoming for a gift to a friend who likes infused cigars. Might steal a couple to give them a try. I'll let you know what I think if I do.

For most new cigar smokers Infused is a good introduction...a gateway to true cigars.

Most non-enthusiasts think cigars are stinky...until they get a whiff of an infused...it immediately alters their perception of cigars...BAM ! the door opens...

My advice...try them all...then work your way to mild cigars...mild/mediums...meds...med/full...save the fulls until you get more experience, some pack quite a nic punch.

Don't waste your time with cigars that are sold in foil packs or cellophane wrapped cardboard boxes.

Eventually you will learn to appreciate the finer smokes...and on the way, you'll discover what you like and don't like.

Keep in mind, most cigar smoker's tastes change from time to time.

Get yourself a good humidor or two and learn as much as you can.

The Drew Estate Tabak Especial Redeye is the only infused cigar I'd smoke.
