Thought i would hit you guys up before i went and got one. Like it says, looking for a hydra SM or a cigar oasis XL. Pm me if you have one and what you want want for it.

I am going to use both beads and the hydra/oasis. The active to recover quickly from opening the door, the passive for maintaining once back up to my desired RH, I know its a bit overkill, but i dont think it would hurt any.

I got a extra hydra LG new in the package and a Humi-Care XG1000 Pro Humidifier used less than a year. Willing to sell or trade.

Thanks gumby, but i dont need anything that big for this project. As Cacman stated, its for a smaller wineador, 28 bottle.

well, ill also be having the unit turned on, which will in turn drop the RH considerably +/- 10% ill need some thing to keep up with that type of swing.

Honestly i wouldnt bother with it. Just use the beads.

But if u do use it i would reccommend cutting out the foam in the resevoir and filling it with beads. The foam will mold on you.

i read people have put a few drops of PG solution in the water, then adding to the foam....no mold.

I received the unit on fri, thanks! bro i hope it works out, i wont be able to fully test it until i get my wineador up and running, Forrest from winedors.com said my drawers should be shipping out this Fri, once i get those seasoned, i should be able to test the unit for proper operation. Also have to get something to hold water in the reservoir, i will let you know how it turns out. I'm pretty optimistic.

Ive got one and love it, but you cannot rely on the units humidity settings. I have to calibrate it to a different hygrometer.
On mine I have to set it at 80.3 to get 69% humidity.
