5.5 x 60ish, rich dark color. Solid cigar with a slightly oily wrapper. This was a very nice looking cigar.
It was a really easy light that only required a very light and easy draw. From the beginning it tastes very familiar. Pepper from the very first hit. As I said it was a very easy draw but started out with hardly any smoke being produced. 1/2 inch in and the smoke has finally started pouring out of it. Pepper has pulled back a bit.
Moving into the 2nd third and the cigar takes a big change in flavors. No longer do I get a pepper flavor but some sweetness starts to emerge. I am not a big coffee drinker but I have to say that it started to resonate a coffee taste. This cigar is seems to be fairly familiar but I just can't put my finger on it.
Last third and the cigar just stayed smooth and creamy with a hint of sweetness. There are some cigars that make me feel like I need to brush my teeth right after I finish smoking....this isn't one of them. I had the lingering taste of the cigar for the rest of the night and into the following morning. It was not an unpleasant taste.
My guess is possibly an Undercrown. I would say somewhere in the $5-10 range (leaning toward the 10 end). This could easily be a cigar above $10.
When Tim fesses up the name of the cigar, I will need to get some more.
Thanks Tim. A good cigar that had a lot of flavor.
