This is a review of a cigar I received in a "Cigar of the Month" batch my kids got for me at Christmas.

The pre-lit draw - very much a "nada". Not much there as far as impression - a bit of pepper on the lip, that's all.

First draws - remind me of my first cigars back in the late '80s. "Yeah - I'm a big guy now - look at me smokin' my stogie. Hope it gets better. Will say the smoke output is nice & creamy.

Ok - it's cookin now. Very smooth. No kick - no harshness. Very bland. Kinda like instant oatmeal - not terrible, but would not order it if I had a choice.

Will say one positive thing for this sucker - it stays lit without any extra attention. Have left it alone for a period of no less than 10 minutes - and she is still lit perfectly. Burn is VERY even. AB should take notes on how to construct a cigar.

Ash is really good and tight - held to 1.25 inches before I elected to tap.

While not complex - it is a decent smoke. Not buying this for myself, I cannot respond to value - but I'd pay 2 to 2.75 for this guy and be happy.

Your experience is pretty much the same as mine. Meh at best. Wouldn't buy, much better ones out there at the same price point.

The Lancero is excellent. Not sure which Vitola you had.
