Smoke anything "special"?

I didn't smoke anything special, but I did go out of my way to smoke a Te Amo maduro -- only Mexican cigar I have. I have lots with Mexican wrappers, but no other Mexican-made sticks.

I bought a box of ten, years ago and only smoke one on this day. They aren't bad if you like the earthy flavor profile, but they aren't great. This was rolled too tight, but not plugged. Enjoyed a Dos Equis along with it.

Besides, I can't afford/can't bring myself to shell out the cash for the elite sticks like you guys.

As for the Dos Equis:

As stated it has nothing to do with Mexican independence.

It's more like the Mexican equivalent of St. Patrick's Day.

I "celebrate" St. Pat's and Cinco de Mayo, and I've got zero of either nationality in me (and I'm not Catholic) -- except on those days! 🙂
