How is that working for you and did it help much? They want to rod my lower back also it's a real mess. But the neck was a fought one and I'm alittle worried after having trouble with stroke. But the lower back keeps pinching the nerves and down I go. I hate the chair but don't mind the walker so much at least I feel a little more free. How long was your recovery. I'm sorry not trying to be intrusive just first time I have been able to Ask from someone else that's knows about going through it. Chuck. 😳

I'm one of the lucky ones. Completely changed my quality of life. Before the surgery, I could barely get around and was agony most of the time. Now? Back to work with no restrictions and able to live a fairly normal life. I just have to be careful. I ache sometimes and still can't feel my left foot but"ll take it. I had the surgery on Dec 15 2011 and was back to work in February. It hurt....the surgery hurt like hell and so did the rehab but I would do it again a heartbeat. Sounds like you got a long row to hoe, my friend. You have my prayers. I guess the most important advice I could give is to be ABSOLUTELY sure you have the right Doctor. I went through a BUNCH of them before I found the one that I felt comfortable turning my life over to. If you have ANY reservations about your Doc...listen to that inner voice. I found a guy I KNEW would help me and he did.

This Dr is a Neurosurgeon and I meet with him twice and had a good gut feeling so I took the chance and even the way it all turned out I am very happy I am getting some movement in the left arm it's not much but it's some I'm not as concerned with the feeling as the movement. I want to fish yet this year LOL. They say I will have to use the walker until the lower back goes for good and if I do let them work on it I will more than likely be in a chair any way. The vertebras are being destroyed by my body they are pitted and pieces missing. So darned if I do and darned if don't. But at least the neck feels so much better than before. And your right the rehab. Is hell but with each improvement and each time I can do some little thing it's wroth it. Thanks for taking the time to reply its nice to hear from others who have gone through similar events. Bless you. 🙏
