There seems to be limited reviews about the Blendlab series, so I feel the need to post this.

I love the way this cigar looks; a thick, leathery, natural Habano wrapper with a cute pigtail cap and a closed foot. The wrapper smells amazing, with a sweet tobacco aroma that gets me excited to smoke.

Upon lighting, this cigar punches you right in the palate with heavy spice. A white pepper spice that is both thick and creamy. Retrohaling in the first half inch of this cigar burns almost unbearably. The finish is very long and coats your mouth. After the spice subsides, you are left with a burnt cedar taste that is very dry. Eventually the spice returns in the last third. The cigar doesn't transition much, but does vary in flavor intensity, the strength is a high med-full with the body ranging from low med-full.

The construction is great, with no soft spots. Seams are near invisible. The wrapper is flawless in color, with some minor bumps and no worrisome veins. There is a triple cap that looks masterfully applied with the pigtail finish.

The burn was leaves a lot to be desired. I am in 30 mph winds on the beach, which I'm sure is causing most of my issues, but the wrapper is extremely oily, which I believe to be the other culprit. The burn line is jagged and requires lots of lighter attention.

Overall, this cigar offers more to look at than anything. At $4-5 each, I would much rather invest in some Alec Bradleys. The flavor profile was a huge miss for me, and I will not be buying any more of this blend.

I bought 5 of these, smoked one, gave two away to verify what I thought about them. They suck!

Yeah they do! I've been resting these for about 5 months, expecting them to be awesome.

Try the YP-5754 blend. I like it. Its about the only one I like from the Blendlab. There review/survey input on there website doesn't work. Tried 3 times to post review about smoke and nothing. Why tell people at store to post review if it doesn't work!

In my defense, I started smoking the cigar when there was only small, intermediate gusts of 2-5 mph. The burn got really wonky around an inch in, and the wind picked up about two inches in.

Bummer, I have a few of these sitting in the humi. I've tried a few of the others and the only one I've really enjoyed is the PH-650. It uses a lot of the Ometepe leaf which in my opinion has a very distinct flavor that is sweeter than most. They don't sell them on line any longer but last I checked, the Super store had a wheel in stock. If anyone lives in the area I'd suggest picking a few up and if you don't like them, send email my way!

Just givin ya a hard time Ben.....please don't take offense. Only on the calmest of evenings do I enjoy smoking outdoors as I have a hard enough time discerning the character of a cigar without my "plume of smoke" wafting away on me. I'm fortunate to have my mini manhole in my shop where I can smoke indoors (with ventilation of course) Try letting your last one of these go for a while and revisit, you may enjoy it after all.

I have 2 or 3 left, that I will let rest for at least a year and revisit. The first puff on these was not a good start. Too much pepper for my tastes. I like when smokes open with spice, but I prefer smoother spice like the Baitfish, Surrogates, and Cains.
