Has anyone tried these yet? Any thoughts on the Black or White?

Tried White back in May (haven't had another yet, nor have I tried the Black)....here's my thoughts on White from an earlier post:

Leccia White Toro (6x50) - I have been anxious to try this (and the Black). Even though I didn't like Nubs and only a couple of Cains, I like and respect Sam and want to see him do well.

From Press Release:"The White Nicaraguan blend uses an African Sun Grown wrapper with a binder from Ecuador. The filler is Nicaraguan Ligero with Seco leaves from Pennsylvania, Sam’s home state. It is a full body smoke that delivers tons of complex flavors. It has hints of a creamy coffee, and lightly sweet cashews, while delivering strength and spices."

I'm not sure about the coffee...or the cashews, but it was complex - waves of spiciness interspersed with hints of sweetness. I was amazed at the way this cigar was constantly changing. Begins with an all-out pepper assault and slowly mellows a little. My fiancee and I were each trying this for the first time and funny thing - right after about a half inch, we looked at each other and both got hit with subtle sweetness. I thought the sweet matched really well with the pepper and would have preferred it stick around - but, I didn't get it again until a little after the halfway point. This wasn't squarely in my profile, but it was pretty darned good. Tami experienced some pretty significant wrapper cracks as it got into the final third. I'm hoping that was largely a result of recent transportation (the shop had received these less than 24 hrs earlier.) She still gave this a strong thumbs up - I was satisfied, but maybe slightly less so.

LOVED THE BLACK! Liked it better than the White (which I thought was good as well). I was told the robusto was the best vitola in the Black and that's what I tried.

I've had both, but for some reason I don't recall much on the Black. I think I liked both. At this point though I can't say which I liked best...maybe the Black. 🤔

Smoked the Leccia today. Lots of pepper at the initial light through the first 1/2," making it a fairly bold smoke. Pretty much mellows out for the remainder as a high-medium (i.e. the high end of medium) smoke, with peppery hints from time to time. The guy next to me was downwind and commented that it smelled like a strong cigar when I first lit up, to which I agreed until the pepper wore off. It didn't put out too much smoke. Burn and draw was excellent.

"The Leccia Black is being constructed in the Dominican and it features a Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan Rosado binder, and a filler blend that consists of Nicaraguan, Dominican ligero, Brazilian viso and a fire-cured tobacco that imparts a smokey, campfire-ish, whiskey-like component to both the flavor and aroma."

No smokey smokes for me.[-(

Am curious how the Black's fire-cured tobacco tastes in comparison to American Spirit's Perique blend, which is a roll-your-own tobacco and not a pipe tobacco? Used to smoke a lot of the Perique blend before I found cigars.

thanks.

Perique is also featured in the Mysterioso line of cigars made by the Connecticut Valley Tobacconist. Mysterioso is available with a genuine Connecticut shade wrapper, genuine aged Louisiana Perique, and Honduran tobacco. It is the only cigar in the world that uses a perique blend.

By a couple black & white. I dont think you'll be disappointed, quality-wise....it just may not fit your taste, but enjoyable none the less.
