Was ok. Had a hard time staying lit for the better part of the first half which may have been due to the hollow spot inside. It was potent, probably due to me trying to overdraw on it and keep it lit. By the time it was maintenance free, the last 1/3, it tasted like burnt marshmallow. That's not a complaint per se, because as a kid that is how I always roasted my marshmallows...light 'em up and get them nice and crispy. However, I can't say I fully enjoyed it with as much work as I had to put into it. Even if it had been flawless, I think it would have been a fairly bold smoke with plenty of tobacco taste. It had potential. Other than the internal burn issue, overall construction was good. I might consider trying another. This was the robusto size.

I had the opposite problem-with about 1/3 to go I had one just plain go out. Good smoke to that point.

Actually, I worked at it to keep it lit after about 2" to the final 1/3 when it did finally go out, but I knocked the ashes off and relit. I ended up nubbing it since it was probably the last 1.5" that were most enjoyable.

Purchased a line sampler. Tried the lonsdale and gifted the Toro. Meh, wasn't impressed especially for the price point. Flat and not very complex. Hoping some rest will bring more out of these. IMHO another overpriced DE.

Sounds like it was wet.

Not only is it overpriced but I hear there are only 50 accounts nationwide. I think the HE Maduro coming out will fare much better.

Had a short corona that bored me to tears. Couple weeks later I had a robusto from different source that was truly impressive in its depth and complexity. I don't know what to make of the brand yet. I definitely will give it another shot.

For once I smoked a cigar you Vets are all commenting on recently enough to calibrate my n00b tastes. Did think it had the Nicaraquan punch I was expecting but was kind of one dimensional/flat too. But a HE Maduro sounds interesting, and maybe letting these rest?

I think a maduro would be very interesting, I have smoked 2 robustos without any burn issues had em at 65 for 2-3 weeks, one was a morning smoke hit me a little harder than expected, the other completely different after a meal have a few more will have to do a formal review, but I didn't have any construction issues, enjoyed it but don't know I'd sp,urge on another box at DE prices

Fine smoke, especially as a fresh roll at the event, perfect burn and great flavor from beginning to nub

CA rag seems to like these. I only smoked one toro size so far and thought it was just okay. Probably will try another vitola.
