The new summer release with the shaggy foot.
Oh where to start, how about at the beginning.
The cigar is well constructed with some small and a few medium veins. Nice brown and smooth wrapper. It was a medium fill with no soft spots. I straight cut it and paired it with a sweet ice tea.
The draw was smooth and easy which is what I like. After torching it, the burn was slightly off but then straightened out and stayed that way, no touch ups needed. The smoke volume was very good and the cigar burned only slightly warm (emember I smoke fast) but did not get soft.
The cigar starts off medium to full and a little rough. In the second third it reduces to medium and stays that way to the end. There are hints of leather which I find to be the most prevasive flavor and very nice. There are hints of chocolate throughout. Now I am not the greatest at discerning all flavors and really only know that I either like or dislike a cigar when I smoke it. To that statement I say I liked it, a lot and burned it to the nub not wanting to put it down. In my eyes this cigar will be great in a year.
The cigar is not for the noob but would recommend it as a humi staple for the more initiated. All in all I have to say a B+ on this, not because of a particular flavour but because it is better than most other recent Viaje releases.
