I read the Opus need considerable humi time, and have found that to be true. Just had one that rested a year - it was much better than an identical one smoked a couple weeks after purchasing both...Is there a rule of thumb for all Opus in general, or does it vary by the stick?

Also, I just bought my first Padrons - got 3 Padron 64's in my last Cbid order. Do Padrons need a long time as well? I'm anxious to try one but after wasting a WOAM lighting it off the shelf, and seeing the Opus get better with time, I don't want to get a bad opinion of one if it isn't ready or waste another good stick being impatient.

TIA,

BK

Give a week to get used to there new home and then light em up.

I tried aging some PAM 26s for a couple of years, but I didn't really think they got much better, just a little more muted flavor wise.

Padrons already have plenty of age when they are rolled.

Opus get much better after 1 year and a little more year after year.

Thought I read somewhere both are aged 1.5 - 2 years after rolling, before they're sold.

Thanks for the replies - I hope the Padron lives up to its price point - guess I'll find out soon 🇨🇮

I would also add that the regular Padron line does age really well, to the point where I would call them just as good flavor wise as a PAM 64 but with less of a nicotine kick.
