Anybody try any of the new (to the US) Rosalones smokes put out by Joya de Nic.? I'm a huge sucker for the Criollo varietal (love the Ramon Allones SS, Cruzado, Camacho Havana, etc.) but have always thought that the Antano lacked balance.

Would love to hear what people thought about these - are they comparable in profile to JdN's Antano or what?

just got the 6"x50 in today. Since it is only a $3.50 cigar at C.I. I expect it to be 'good', but nothing 'great'.

These are ci exclusive cigars. BUT the i texted Jose Blanco and he said these are legit. Nothing but jdn at its best. Europe released if u will regional cigar.
Bid with confidence. These are flavorful but not as strong as the antonio blend. Rosalones are going to be more mild, yet flavorful.

.....not a bad cigar, but it needs to age. Otherwise it is just average. Compared to Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 and Dark Corojo, well, it can't compare. $2per Max Bid.

$3.50 on CI is way diff than $3.50 on CBid. I've been loving a few good $3 sticks off CBid lately.

Burning a consul ROTT. Shows promise, but a couple of hours drybox never does a JdN justice. Nice faint mustiness and a little sweetness, but kind of like smoking a wall of pepper. You can tell they'll settle somewhere between the Antano and the Celebracion. Def not in smoking condition as they're being shipped. You woulda thought that JdN would've box aged some of the first release, but nope.

Of course, most sticks will pale next to the Cruzado Domenicos Extra I smoked earlier. THAT was a Keeper, that's for sure.

$2 Max Bid sounds nice

These are good. JdN cigars come on u cant go wrong. I recommend that u rest these a bit. In the 2-4' month range. Thete a medium smoke with a good amount of flavor. A raisin, cocoa, cedar kick. Good amount of smoke produced and a nice white ash to boot. Even burns, a relight was needed but thats not a biggie.
