I bought a "sampler" that contained Montecristo Cigars (non-Cuban.) I had issues with every single Montecristo I smoked. Let me rephrase that--tried to smoke. They all had construction issues. One had a thin wrapper (they all had, in fact) that came off right after lighting up. There were ugly seams in all of them. The others had an uneven burn and had to be frequently relit. The best I could do was half-way. Nor was the flavor that remarkable--quite ordinary, in fact. I like mild, flavorfull cigars but this was certainly not one of them. Even a 'Mac' would be an improvement. How they can demand such a high price for a POS like this is beyond me. And, it wasn't an issue of humidification either. The other cigars, which included Olivias and Pepin Garcias were all good. 🐴

I haven't smoked many monte's, but I don't recall any of your issues---except for the ordinary part, and they are quite overpriced. Who knows, maybe they are counterfeits.
